Valleyfest is a great community event at Mirabeau Meadows in Spokane Valley. There are so many interesting things to see and do. It is fun for the whole family.
Valleyfest kicks off the celebration with the hearts of Gold Parade. Aqua Duck had a great time meeting people before the parade began.
The interstate Fair EnviroZone is a great place to find resources about water, air, weather, waste disposal, and stormwater. There are always fun activities for kids and a place to sit for adults. See you next year at the fair.
Whitworth Water District hosted a retirement celebration for Susan McGeorge. SAJB President Ty Wick presented Susan with a plaque honoring her years of dedication to protecting the aquifer and delivering safe drinking water.
Unity in the community is a local Spokane celebration of the many cultures that together make Spokane a great place to live.

The toilet is not a trashcan. Products labled “flushable” will go down the drain but can cause big problems for your pipes and the pumping stations that take your wastewater to the treatment plant.

Chester Elementary Science Fair
Follow Aqua Duck as he visits the rivers and water fountains in Paris France, Behrn Switzerland and Aaken Germany. He tasted water in three countries and still thinks the Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie Valley Aquifer has the best tasting water in the world.

Solid Waste is converted into enegry and ash at the Waste To Energy (WTE) Facility in Spokane Washington. Built in 1991, the WTE Facility celebrated it’s 25th Anniversary.
Post Falls Dam in Idaho was originally a log dam built in 1879. In 1906 the dam was rebuilt to produce electricity. Post Falls Dam is part of a series of power generating dams along the Spokane River which runs 111 miles from Lake Coeur d’Alene , Idaho to the Columbia River in Washington..
