5—Water Treatment Cycle
If you happen to live in an area without groundwater, your water comes from lakes, rivers and streams (surface water), and the water is treated before you can drink it.

Those of us who live in eastern Washington and north Idaho and draw our water from the Spokane Valley - Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer, do not rely on this complicated purification system because the water from our aquifer is so clean. At the next stop, we'll take a look at this aquifer.
