The Human Society sponsors, Parade of Paws, a 2-mile pledge walk for paws, claws and webbed feet too. Aqua Duck had a great time meeting all of the dogs, iguanas and wonderful people who care about protecting animals in our region.

Take a photo tour of the Spokane County North Transfer Station in Colbert, WA. It accepts garbage, recyclables and household hazardous waste. Be a load Warrior cover or secure your waste and keep our community clean.
Aqua Duck is proud of the great everyday heroes who help kids by supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters. Everyone had fun dressing up and bowling at the Lilac Lanes.
Celebrate your trees. Arbor Day at Finch Arboretum is full of fun activities for children and adults. Tree City award presented to Mayor Condon, tours, tree education, compost fair and more.
Aqua Duck salutes the great people who are Big Brothers and Big Sisters, everyday heroes. Everyone had a great time bowling for Kids at the Spectatators & Players Event Center
St. Aloysius Parish honors Earth Day with it’s own special Caring for Creation Event. Live music was performed by Jenny Edgren.
Audubon Elementary Science Night was a fun and interesting night of science for the whole family.
It was a cold and blustry day for the Eagle Ridge Community for K-9s Day honoring the dogs and thier police partners.
Otis Orchards Science Extravaganza is designed to show students and families how interesting and fun science can be.
The 14th Annual Service Truck Rodeo was held at Centerplace Event Center in Spokane Valley. Events included: Best Tasting Water, Tapping competition, Best Water leak photo, lots of vendors and more.
Students had excellent science fair exhibits at Trentwood Elementary Science Night.
Evergreen Elementary Science Night was filled with science displays prepared by pre-service teachers at Whitworth University.
Nine Mile Falls High School hosted a great science and art night.
Aqua Duck had a great night at Holmes Elementary Science & Technology night.
Ty Wick retired on February 2, 2018. he was the General Manager of Spokane county Water district #3 and the founding President of the Spokane Aquifer Joint Board. We will miss Ty’s dedication and passion for protecting our water.
Sunrise Elementary Science night was a great event in the newly remodeled school.

Hamblen Elementary’s Lego club prepared for competition. Students shared their solutions to water conservation with a motion sensor shower head and a double sink that reclaims waste water. Aqua Duck says, “Thanks kids, Keep up the creative inventions to solve real problems.”
Feel like being a kid? You can jump in a huge pile of leaves, learn about composting and get information from community groups. The Fall Leaf Festival & Compost Fair also offers tours of the beautiful Finch Arboretum.
Hamblen Elementary Teacher, Kim Weathers, invited Whitworth University students to display their science fair projects along with SAJB, NOAA, Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency and others.
