  • Resolution 2001-08 Business Assistance & Interlocal Agreement with Ecology – additional slight tweaking required prior to SAJB meeting – final agreement expected to be distributed by Wednesday, June 13th for review by all.
  • Wellhead Protection Plan CD cost
  • 2001 Assessment for Wellhead Implementation

  •  Nominations for SAJB Officers for election at next meeting in July
  •  Local telephone hot-line for Water Quality information

5.  WELLHEAD PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

  •  Program Leader Report – Julia McHugh
    1. Distribution of leftover boxes from the Household Contaminant Disposal Event @ end of June
    2. Water Weeks planning – Local State Kickoff event details unknown; SAJB teaming with County WQMP for two-day event at Upriver Dam, tentatively Friday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, Sept. 29.
    3. Ice Age Floods and Center Point Interpretarium – meetings to be held on a quarterly basis rather than monthly.  Current Mirabeau funding and focus is mostly on CenterPlace;  still waiting for the legislative session to finish.  We don’t want to burn our task force out by meeting too often until we can put the time and energy towards the Interpretarium.  Next meeting:  September 25, 2001 at 3:00 PM at the Rockwood Bakery.
    4. Friends of the Aquifer –  third letter from Patty Murray who has contacted chair of Surface Transportation Board; appeal still pending, public comment to be accepted.   N. Idaho citizens lining up to oppose 1800 & 1300 Megawatt power plants.  Still working on Sen. Cantwell to contact STB.
    5. Rick Barlow, Panhandle Health – request to receive SAJB Agenda+Minutes list; reports work on Greenspace Planning for clustering homes to reduce infrastructure, with either sewer hookup or land application of septage.
    6. Query to District Managers – can you think of ways in which to use Senior and Retired Volunteers at your site ???
